To add a radio button to your template, click the radio button icon from the toolbar and drag it onto the template design area where you wish the radio button to be. From the Insert Radio Button dialog pop, decide whether this radio button set is already located on another NextGen template, or is unique to your template. If it's unique to your template, and give it a field name, then the caption which will be displayed next to the radio button itself, and then the value.  With the radio button, the filming that you give it works a little different than what we are used to. Remember, with radio buttons they act as a group and not individually.

Okay I know that sounds a little odd but let me demonstrate and show you what I mean.

When you create a radio button group you can only select one value within that group.  Play around with the example below but notice you cannot have yes and no selected at the same time.

Gender: Female

But with a checkbox I can select all the values in that group.  So when you’re developing your templates, plan ahead, think of the purpose of the fields you are creating. Do you want the users only to build the check one of the values or possibly all of the values? That will determine whether to use a radio button or a checkbox to define your values.

All the other parameters for the radio buttons are the same as the other field types within the NextGen template editor. With a radio button you can also determine which radio button value will be default and which side of the button the text will align to.
